Jerry Rotunno created The Committed Pig around a simple idea: contemporary comfort food, done well, without pretense. Despite the name — and a Pork Roll section on the menu — the real star here is the burger program, built on Pat LaFrieda beef and topped with combinations that range from classic to genuinely weird in the best way.

Walk in and you’ll get water served in mason jars, sit at a mismatched chair, and notice a welcome mat made of pennies at the door — small details that set the tone for a place that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

It’s been serving burgers and brunch hours since 2012, and the all-day brunch menu — Nutella French toast, cookie dough pancakes, savory egg dishes — has become just as much of a draw as the burgers themselves.
