The Morristown St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2026 brought thousands of residents and visitors to downtown Morristown on March 14 for a celebration of Irish heritage, family traditions, and community spirit.

From bagpipes and Irish dancers to marching groups and festive outfits, the annual celebration once again brought the community together for one of Morris County’s most beloved traditions.

The Pulse USA Morristown joined the festivities, with host McKenzie Hegarty speaking to families, longtime paradegoers, and first-time visitors about what makes this annual event so special.

For many residents, attending the parade has become a tradition they wouldn’t miss.

Peter, a Morristown resident watching from the Dublin Pub, was dressed for the occasion. When asked about his festive outfit, he laughed, saying, ā€œI only wear it once a year, so we’re good.ā€

Others have been attending for generations.

Melissa shared that the Murphy family has been coming to the parade for approximately 35 to 40 years. Linda, another longtime attendee, said her family has made the trip every year since moving to the area in 1984.

Her daughter Erica has continued that tradition with her own children, including her 15-year-old twins.

ā€œIt’s so fun to watch the kids at the parade,ā€ Erica said.

For families like theirs, the parade has become more than a yearly celebration. It’s an opportunity to spend time together, revisit familiar traditions, and share the experience with younger generations.

While some attendees have decades of parade memories, others were experiencing the celebration for the first time.

Alex, who moved to Morristown about two years ago, was attending his first parade and couldn’t hide his excitement.

ā€œI’m very, very excited,ā€ he said.

Jackie traveled from Hopatcong with her children to see the festivities for the first time.

ā€œIt’s our first time coming to see this. So, the kids are excited,ā€ she shared.

For the younger crowd, the excitement was all about what they hoped to see along the parade route.

Stella was looking forward to watching her brother and father march with Shamrocks baseball. Noah couldn’t wait for the fire trucks, while Carter and Jack were excited to hear the bagpipes.

Evie, wearing a necklace she had brought from her grandmother’s house, was eager to see the Irish step dancers. Other young attendees, including Riley, Michaela, and Mason, were looking forward to the music, instruments, and crowds.

One father, who has been attending the parade since he was 18, shared how the tradition has continued with his own children. Whether the weather is cold or rainy, his family still makes it a point to attend.

These are the moments that make the Morris County St. Patrick’s Day Parade special to the community. Beyond the music, colorful outfits, and festivities, it’s a chance for families and neighbors to come together, reconnect, and create new memories.

The parade also brings people from surrounding towns into downtown Morristown, giving visitors an opportunity to experience the town’s lively atmosphere and local businesses.
